Ans. ECCE CURICULUM

The National Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Curriculum Framework for all children below six years of age is aligned with the Government’s vision of ECCE as spelt out in the National Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Policy. The National ECCE Curriculum Framework is informed by the Position Paper on ECCE (National Curriculum Framework, NCERT, 2005)A

Ans. At Mickey Tots, we prioritize the safety and well-being of every child. We have implemented a range of measures to create a secure and nurturing environment for your little ones. Here are some of the steps we have taken:

• CCTV Streaming: Our premises are equipped with CCTV cameras that provide continuous monitoring and surveillance. This helps us maintain a vigilant eye on all areas of the preschool, ensuring the safety of the children at all times.
• Child-Friendly Infrastructure: We have designed our infrastructure with the utmost care, keeping the safety and comfort of the children in mind. Our facilities include age-appropriate playground equipment with proper cushioning, childproofed electrical outlets, and the use of non-toxic materials to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries
• Strict Access Control: To ensure the safety of our children, we have a policy of not allowing male members inside the premises. This additional precautionary measure helps create a secure and trusted environment for all
• Police Verification: We understand the importance of entrusting your child to qualified and trustworthy educators. That’s why we conduct thorough police verification of our entire staff. This ensures that everyone working at our preschool has undergone a comprehensive background check, giving you peace of mind.

Ans. The ideal age for a child to start preschool can vary depending on individual factors and cultural norms. Starting preschool at a younger age, such as 1 year old, can provide opportunities for early social interactions, exposure to new experiences, and structured learning in a nurturing environment. It can also help children develop essential skills and habits for their future educational journey.

Ans. At our preschool, the safety and well-being of the children are our top priorities. We have a well-established protocol in place to handle medical emergencies or accidents should they arise. In the event of a medical emergency or accident, our staff members are trained in first aid to provide immediate assistance. They are well-equipped to assess the situation, administer basic medical care, and stabilize the child until further medical help arrives.

We have established strong ties with doctors and hospitals in the nearby vicinity. In case of a medical emergency, we have arrangements in place to quickly seek medical attention from qualified healthcare professionals. This ensures that the children receive prompt and appropriate medical care.

We maintain up-to-date records of emergency contact information, including parents’ contact numbers, alternate emergency contacts, and any pertinent medical information about the child. This allows us to inform parents immediately and keep them updated throughout.

Care Calls: The teacher gives you a monthly care call. During this call, the teacher will update you on your child’s development, discuss their academic progress, and address any concerns or questions you might have.

 PTMs: The school conducts PTMs every three months. These meetings are a more in-depth opportunity to discuss your child’s academic and overall progress with the teacher. Besides this, the school offers open visiting hours between 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on working days from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday. This means you can visit the school at your convenience to observe your child’s classroom, meet with teachers or staff, or discuss any concerns you might have.

At Mickey Tots we have implemented a no-dress code policy for kids in school with the goal of promoting comfort and happiness. Some of the benefits of this policy are, comfort and expression, focus on learning, preparation for the real world, climate considerations, balancing individuality and inclusivity, and much more.

Involving parents in their child’s education can have a significant positive impact on a student’s learning journey, We provide parents with brief updates during arrival and departure times about whatever we have done in the class and what are the things to be done at home. It helps parents feel more connected to the school and their child’s education, At Mickey Tots teachers encourage reading at home in a creative way, asking students to explore and read about objects in their fridge, bedroom, or garden to engage students in reading and observation. To further strengthen the home-school connection, we provide parents with tips and resources for supporting their child’s learning, suggesting age-appropriate books and activities. We are also open to feedback from parents on the reading activities and their child’s overall learning experience at home.

We prioritize the physical and brain development of our students through carefully planned diets. A well-balanced diet is indeed crucial for children’s growth and cognitive functions. We offer a vegetarian course, as it caters to the preferences and dietary choices of many students at our center, We avoid junk food because it helps ensure that students are consuming nutrient-rich foods rather than empty calories that might not contribute positively to their health and development. Having a dedicated nanny to prepare the food gives parents relaxation in our commitment to providing quality meals for the students. This personalized touch can help ensure that the meals are prepared with care and attention to nutritional value.
